The Community Edition contains all the core features of Shopware 6. The combination of the reliable basic version and individual development allows to build an exclusive online shop: the Community Edition basis can be perfectly tailored to the needs of a particular business.

Technical knowledge would be an advantage in order to make the Community Edition run smoothly. It is therefore important to have a competent technical partner by your side for stable and smooth operating of the online shop software. Our certified Shopware developers, will gladly provide support at all stages of creating an online shop: from planning and conceptioning to launch and support, we are always at service to our clients.

In the Community Edition there aren’t any restrictions of shop size, any quantity of products, categories and subshops can be created. At the same time, the Community Editions does not contain “Premium” functions, that are irreplaceable for some business models. Such functions, as for instance B2B processes and “advanced CX” (Customer Experience) are available in paid plans only.

Scope of implementation of Shopware

Shopware 6 is an e-commerce solution, but the platform’s use is not limited to just online shops. The platform is highly flexible, easy to maintain, has a strong native backend architecture, and overall a more robust system compared to other e-commerce platforms.

Thanks to the visual editor, non-technical users can also maintain content quickly and easily. For example, blogs or individual landing pages can be simply adapted or created in Shopware 6.

What makes Shopware special?

3,500+ extensions (plugins and themes)

Because Shopware is one of the most popular online shop platforms, there is also a very large community. This has a positive effect on the development of add-ons and themes. That’s why Shopware also has an immense number of different plugins that offer a wide variety of functionalities and many different frontend themes.

Other content in the online shop

Flexibility and native backend design allow online shop operators to maintain not only the product catalog, but also the rest of the content in the online shop without any technical knowledge. With the help of the visual editor, it’s possible to quickly create pages by simply dragging and dropping different elements.

Multiple languages and currencies support

Any online shop running on Shopware can use several languages and support different currencies.

With the use of the so-called snippets it is possible to  translate all text in the shop. Additionally, Shopware already contains all of the standard texts that a website usually needs in multiple languages. This means that only the individual content needs to be translated.

Subshops

With Shopware it is possible to operate multiple online shops with different frontends on a single backend architecture. Additionally, the different frontends can also be available to the user under different domains. Thanks to this multi-store functionality, Shopware can serve different target groups with different layout and catalog.

Omnichannel

CChannels such as eBay or Amazon can also be used with Shopware. Having this feature makes Shopware an omnichannel solution for online shops.

API-first

Shopware 6 was developed according to the API-first approach. This means that Shopware 6 can also be used as a headless CMS. For example, Progressive Web Apps (PWA) can be connected to it as a frontend. This technology brings many different advantages.

Who is Shopware 6 suitable for?

Shopware offers all functions an online shop requires. Therefore, the e-commerce platform is perfect for traders with different requirements: from pure B2B or B2C to hybrid business models and internationally oriented companies.

Through its standardized interfaces, Shopware can also be linked to most ERP/merchandise management systems.

All of these functions make Shopware suitable for anyone who wants to start or expand their online sales, and is also a perfect choice for a smaller budget
